Sebastiaan de Krom
Sebastiaan studied at Berklee College of Music, and won the Buddy Rich Award in 1995. He holds a master’s degree in jazz studies and performed with Herbie Hancock, and John Scofield. He played with Jamie Cullum for eight years and currently teaches at BIMM London, and Leeds College of Music.
Anika is a German drummer, songwriter and producer. She focuses on writing and producing her own music, which is available on her YouTube channel. Her fine technique, the distinctiveness of her sound, and her strong groove characterise her songs and her way of playing. She is endorsed by Meinl cymbals, Mapex, Aquarian Drumheads, Vic Firth, Ahead and Slapklatz.
Dean is an in-demand professional session player and clinician, performing with artists such as Jason Donovan and for West End shows. Dean also teaches in his native Lincoln.

James has been working with artists as diverse as Malachai and Geoff Barrow (Portishead) through to Pitchshifter’s Mark Clayden. Current projects: Cars on Fire and a studio project with Damon Minchella (Ocean Colour Scene/Paul Weller) and Kieron Pepper (Prodigy). He is also head of drums at BIMM Bristol. He endorses Mapex, Paiste, Vic Firth, Remo and Protection Racket.
Pete is a versatile multi-percussionist immersing himself in percussion styles from around the globe. Diverse artists have called upon his skills; Björk, Peter Gabriel, Robert Plant, Bill Bruford, Jeff Beck, Zakir Hussain, Steve Smith, Jarvis Cocker, and more. Pete has released seven albums and his new book Indian Rhythms For The Drum Set is available from Hudson Music.
Ethan Lewis Matlby
Ethan Lewis Maltby is a British composer who specialises in writing for theatre. His first percussion show, Noise Ensemble, toured the world between 2006 and 2010. He has written pieces for large events, including the opening ceremonies of four FA Cup Finals, UEFA Europa League Final, UEFA Women’s Champions League Final and the Heineken Cup Final.
Jamie is a percussion, general music and diploma examiner for Trinity College London with recent examining tours having included India, Hong Kong and Sri Lanka. He also freelances at the Graz Opera (in Austria) and with Ensemble Zeitfluss, and is the director of Music Academy Smale. Jamie received a distinction for his postgraduate diploma from Trinity College of Music and has taught at Dartington College of Arts and Channings Wood Prison.
Steve’s passion is to provide and promote top quality education for drummers, working with students at the Back 2 the Beat Drum Academies that run throughout Essex. One of Steve’s students won Young Drummer Of The Year 2007 and in all the years he has been putting students through the Trinity/Guildhall exams he’s never had a fail.
