Wizdom Media Releases Odd Feelings
Wizdom Media, the brainchild of educator Dom Famularo and highly
respected Broadway drummer Joe Bergamini, has announced the release
of their latest instructional drumming book, Odd Feelings: A
Guide To Odd-Meter Drumset Grooves.
Written by Italian drummer and educator Massimo Russo along with
Dom Famularo, Odd Feelings focuses on helping drummers
feel comfortable with odd time signatures. Based on a concept
introduced in Famularo's book It's Your Move,Odd
Feelings presents grooves and exercises in 18 different
time signatures. Using a simple yet effective counting system, the
book is divided into chapters on quarter-, eighth-, and sixteenth
note based meters, with an additional section on mixed-meter
grooves. Odd Feelings provides eight play-along
tracks on the included multimedia disc, which contains MP3s and
QuickTime videos demonstrating selected examples and including the
play-along tracks minus drums. Author Russo performs all of the
tracks.
